Hivenet app: new releases and mobile website features
Archived product release: This article records desktop version 1.19, mobile version 1.9, and an October 2023 subscription offer that has expired. Our most recent desktop and mobile app release is here. We have an updated activity monitor on desktop and some cool little upgrades on mobile. Plus, we’ve opened the gates for mobile website subscriptions!
Here is everything new:
1.19 Update Highlights
- Super Large File Handling: File transfers now up to 35GB.
- Activity Monitor Enhancements: The Activity Monitor now lists all your files and shows their status (uploaded, uploading, pending upload). You can even clear up files that have successfully uploaded to focus on what's left and click on them to open them on your Files app. And when life interrupts your upload party (aka as meetings), just hit "Pause" and resume later.
- Offline Detection: No internet? No problem. Hivenet now detects when your connection drops, so you know when to check your connection.
iOS 1.9
- Save to Hivenet: You can now upload your best pictures to Hivenet straight from your Photo gallery. Just browse your photo, select the one you like the most and you’ll see a new options when you click the Share icon: Save to Hivenet!
- Upload progress indicator: Aprogress bar is now visible when downloading or uploading files.
Android 1.9
- File Preview: Now view and play your audio and video files stored on Hivenet!
- Large File Handling: Enjoy faster uploads and downloads of big files on Android. Simply select your large file, and let it upload or preview in the background. Check your notification center for progress.
- Organize Files: Easily manage your files on Hivenet from your Android device. For now, you can move just one file or folder at a time.
Mobile Website Updates:
- Subscribe to paid plans and manage your account right from your mobile browser.
